My guest room is now smaller on the outside.
Not an entirely original idea, but I wanted to take a crack at it. Wanted to give a little nod to Stubbs for the great write up she did for her Murphy Bed, it was quite an inspiration. This makes for the second TARDIS I’ve built.

Cutting the fancy curved bed rails and learned how to apply laminate tape to the edges of the plywood
It was at this point I discovered that the cabinet was about 1/4″ to narrow. Mostly because I didn’t get an entirely clean joint between the two big heavy panels on the bed frame. I basically had to scrap the horizontal pieces (header and head board) and re-build, re-prime, re-paint them. I said a few bad words and plodded back to the shop.

Despite the very clear instructions that the bed must be securely mounted to the wall before you attach the springs we seem to have lost grampy
Now if I could just figure out how to get the light on the top. I only got about 3″ of clearance up there.
Decals were made by Jeremy Brewer and I got the hardware from Create-a-Bed. all the plywood was birch hardwood.
